By 2018, almost half of the refugee population worldwide was composed of children. Displacement exposes children and their families to a wide range of distressing and dangerous events. These include threats to their safety, loss, adversity, and separation from families and communities. Unaccompanied children are even more exposed to risk.
DeCID: Co-designing social infrastructure with children affected by displacement is a project led by The Bartlett Development Planning Unit (UCL) and CatalyticAction, and funded by UKRI through the Global Challenges Research Fund.
